Second Installment:
This Charming Man- The Smiths
My first smiths song. At first I was intrigued, merely appreciating the song once a week. Now, in my opinion, it is love, sheer love. The plunging v-neck, the constant sweater twirling, the sea of petals. You really dont't get bands like this anymore.

Perks of Being A Wallflower

Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky is completely amazing. I read about half of it in one sitting and have already announced it as my bible. But one of the best things about it is the mix tape he makes for Patrick as a Secret Santa ("I hope it's the kind of second side that he can listen to whenever he drives alone and feel like he belongs to something whenever he's sad. I hope it can be that for him.")It goes as follows:
1. Asleep- The Smiths
2. Vapour Trail- Ride
3. Scarborough Fair- Simon and Garfunkel
4. A Whiter Shade of Pale- Procol Harum
5. Time of No Reply- Nick Drake
6. Dear Prudence- The Beatles
7. Gypsy- Suzanne Vega
8. Nights in White Satin- The Moody Blues
9. Daydream- Smashing Pumpkins
10. Dusk- Genesis
11. MLK- U2
12. Blackbird- The Beatles
13. Landslide- Fleetwood Mac
14. and again Asleep- The Smiths
Anywho, the entire book is amazing. It's so utterly sweet but harshly true. So i've decided to compose a mix tape. Not all at once, but maybe one a day so as not to rush (these things take time, you know.)
First Installment:
Your Hand in Mine- Explosions in the Sky
Totally instrumental (only guitars and drums from what i could hear) but such an amazing song. It makes me feel infinite.

This, o my brothers, is Miranda July doing a pose-per-second video clip for Blonde Redhead's, Top Ranking. This lady is possibly the most idiotically philosophical person i've ever seen. par example: her movie, me you and everyone we know. the scene in tyronne street (sorry for the mannymany youtube links but im quite enjoying it. let me enjoy it whilst the enthusiasm lasts)
miranda july, how i love you so.
Doing the Wrong Thing by Kaki King, my record breaking song, at last count 1,652 listens. This is just the acoustic, the recorded has actual drums and violins but this is almost better in some ways. The best bit is, no lyrics! Kaki King only has lyrics for about half her songs but her guitar playing is enough to suffice.
so hi!
The power of the blog has possessed me. I am the proud owner of a new baby blog thanks to the inspiring Kelly with her useyourimaginations.blogspot.com. I feel like this may be the start of something great.
